It has won ground lately between national growers thanks to the good results, because the Chinese consumer is so familiarized with it. This is mainly because sugar plum is largely produced in Xinjiang, and has become a fundamental piece in the Chinese diet since ages ago. Also, it is associated to having a good health and general wellbeing.

Grows predominantly in the Santa Cruz zone in O´Higgins Region. Almost the entire national production is exported to the chinese market, where it is very well welcomed and has excellent reception from the consumers.
